We at Pneuma Institute (PI), are delighted to have you enrol on our certificate programmes. As a student in an online environment, you are entitled to support services at PI to make your learning fruitful and successful. The rules and regulations outlined herein are to help maintain, guard and promote biblical values and living. We aspire to help you to grow and graduate from our Institute as a servant-hearted and eternity-driven leader, focused on the Word of God and the Holy Spirit and driven to excel in your calling/ministry.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for admission into Pneuma Institute, prospective students must possess the following:

  • Be a believer of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • Must have a calling into ministry.
  • Must belong to a local church and be born again.
  • Must be able to read and write.
  • Those who do not have any form of educational certificate must take a written examination to show they can read and write.
  • All selected candidates will be interviewed before final admission into the Institute.

REGISTRATION FOR ACADEMIC WORK

  • An applicant who is admitted to the Institute shall be required to register for their selected courses specified by Academic Board/ Management at the beginning of every trimester.
  • Every student shall be required to pay a non-refundable tuition fee to be announced at the beginning of the academic year as a pre-condition for registration.

ONLINE STUDENT ORIENTATION

An orientation session will be held for all admitted students to welcome and introduce them into the Pneuma Institute and to the certificate courses of study before lectures begin. The orientation programme will also afford students the opportunity to meet Course Instructors, staff members and fellow students. It is mandatory for all students to attend the orientation.

ACADEMIC CALENDAR

The academic year shall comprise three trimesters (i.e. first, second and third).

  • First Trimester: September – December
  • Second Trimester: January – April
  • Third Trimester: May – July

STRUCTURE OF TRIMESTER

A trimester shall be made up of twelve (12) weeks in duration and shall be structured as follows:

  • 10 weeks of teaching
  • 1 week of revision
  • 1 week of examination

Duration of the Professional Certificate in Ministry Programme

The Professional Certificate in Ministry Programme shall take one (1) year to complete.

Minimum and Maximum workload per Trimester for Full-Time Studies

A full-time student shall be required to carry a minimum workload of 4 courses and a maximum of 6 courses per trimester.
